INTERPRETER EQUIPMENT:
What it takes to do the work...
Transmitters
Williams Sound multichannel tabletop AC digital transmitter, Listen Technologies portable multichannel digital transmitter/lavalier mic, Shure PGX lav mic, Williams single-channel portable, Radio Shack camcorder mics and receivers, Sony miniature portables
Receivers A dozen multichannel Williams Sound receivers, five Listen Technologies tunable digital receivers, a couple of Radio Shack and Sony portables
Booths
Portable one-man-standing booth, and an unwieldy two-person job
Transportation
 Well-maintained Chevy S-10 pickup
Incidentals
Gear kit includes assorted adapters, connectors, cables, microphones, jacks and stands, and experience setting up sound in hotels and corporate offices
Caveats I am a merchant interpreter, not a sound engineer. I neither rent equipment nor set up and tear down booths and sound tables for large, multi-language conferences. For that you need a conference sound man.
